At The Children's Cottage Daycare and Preschool, our mission consists of providing a warm and nurturing environment where children feel safe. Our unique Daycare offers various activities that are specifically designed to encourage each child’s growth. Through cooperative play and creative activities, kids reach their social, emotional and physical milestones naturally and with ease.

Owner/Director
Yvonne Cottage
Meet Mrs. Yvonne, owner and director of The Children’s Cottage Daycare and Preschool. Mrs. Yvonne is a teacher, advocate, mentor, and community leader. She tirelessly works to assist families in getting to the next level and helping children meet their highest potential. Mrs. Yvonne has a passion for advocacy on several platforms. She is a member and leader of California’s first-ever Child Care Providers Union (CCPU) and advocates for family childcare providers nationwide. She is also the Vice President of The Family Childcare and Center Enrichment Foundation. She advocates for all small businesses across California searching for better circumstances. She prides herself on fighting for these, such as family childcare providers and all early childhood educators, to ensure the next generation has the best chances to succeed. Among her passions for advocacy are her love, patience, and unique ability to instill resilience in the under-served, underprivileged, and at-risk youth in the Antelope Valley and across Los Angeles County, most recently taking the fight across the country. Her advocacy and work in the union have led her to travel the country to speak and network nationwide to bring Family Child Care to its optimal level and bring attention to the unique needs, strengths, and abilities of family childcare providers and the families they serve. Among the committees she sits on is the AV Human Trafficking Coalition. Mrs. Yvonne is passionate about leading the fight against human trafficking and helping victims one at a time with love, respect, resources, referrals, and, most of all, sharing the love of Christ. Her interests include martial arts such as Brazilian Jiujitsu, Muay Thai, and MMA. She loves running, reading, hiking, kayaking, and writing and will finish her first book to hit the shelves in early 2025.

We would like to express our apologies for the mess that you, our families have experienced in and around the center over the past few weeks. Although we are in the final stages, we wanted to make sure we shared with you some of the exciting upgrades and updates we have made. I don't have enough space to show all the upgrades but here is a few. And Mrs. Yvonne says that if you want to schedule a tour to see the rest.
The high demand for the 2023-2024 Preschool class has prompted us to open the enrollment list for next year's Preschool and pre-K classes.
Registration is currently open for Pre-School and Pre-K classes for the 2024-2025 academic year.

Over time, we’ve designed and adapted programs to meet the high standards of today’s world of education. With that being said, we feel parents should be involved every step of the way. If we wouldn't teach our kids, some of these crazy things in the world were not teaching your kids. We feel children should be taught good values and morals and have high standards for them to succeed and thrive, They are the designers of their future, and hard work in everything they do will have positive results. By providing a supportive environment to not only the children but to the families, we make sure each child receives exactly what they need to learn their way and to achieve their full potential. We have Accredited teachers and Certified instructors that all want the best for your children. Here is a sample of some programs we offer. Here at the Children's Cottage Daycare and Preschool, We know how hard it is as parents to be able to get the time in to do the things that you need to get done, Unfortunately we don't have a grocery store but we do have some options. And everyone who we have come in are Licensed and or state Certified, Thoroughly screened and live scanned for safety and are true masters of there crafts. I will add a couple but our board is always changing and we are always adding new options until our wonderful people move on to the next part of there Careers.

Personal Training
If you cannot make it to the gym we have a private studio gym and a few very good trainers that are degreed and Certified to help you achieve your goals. We also have a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist for sports performance with a Master's degree in exercise and Nutritional Sciences, His CSCS and 17 other certifications in personal training and strength and conditioning are always on-site to answer any questions someone may have. Brazilian Jiujitsu Classes
We have a BJJ Blackbelt who comes in and teaches classes to kids and adults 3 times a week by season, (he is not always in California.)
