At The Children's Cottage Daycare and Preschool, we’re proud to provide a caring and safe environment for your children. By following our mission, vision and values, we create a nurturing, stimulating and welcoming learning environment for all children.

Our Mission
At The Children's Cottage Daycare and Preschool, our mission consists of providing a warm and nurturing environment where children feel safe. Our unique Daycare offers various activities that are specifically designed to encourage each child’s growth. Through cooperative play and creative activities, kids reach their social, emotional and physical milestones naturally and with ease.

At The Children's Cottage Daycare and preschool, we’re committed to doing everything possible to support our community and families, It starts with a healthy, safe environment when your child is away from home. We believe your child should be taught from a young age how to succeed in everything they try and do and if they do not succeed learn from it.
We offer developmentally appropriate programs and specialized curriculum for infants to school-age students all the way to high school. Our School Readiness Pathway provides options to create the most fitting path for your child to elementary school and future academic success.

Owner/Director
Yvonne Cottage
Meet Mrs. Yvonne Cottage owner and director of The Children’s Cottage Daycare and Preschool. Mrs. Yvonne is a teacher, advocate, mentor, and community leader. Mrs. Yvonne has a passion for advocacy on several platforms. She is a member and leader of California’s first-ever Child Care Providers Union, CCPU, and advocates for family childcare providers all over the nation. She not only advocates for small businesses such as family childcare providers but all Early Childhood Educators. Among her passion for advocacy are her love, patience, and unique ability to instill resilience in the under-served, underprivileged, and at-risk youth in the Antelope Valley. Her advocacy and work in the union have led her to travel the country to speak and network throughout the nation in the hopes to bring Family Child Care to its optimal level and bring attention to the unique needs, strengths, and abilities of family childcare providers and the families they serve. Mrs. Yvonne serves on CCPU’s Joint Labor-Management Committee as well as the Contract Action Team. She is a member and leader at her community church the Desert Vineyard where she leads a team of volunteers in the HOPE center clothing boutique. This stems from her love and compassion for her community including California’s unhoused population. Among the committees, she sits on is the AV Human Trafficking Coalition. Mrs. Yvonne is passionate in leading the fight against human trafficking and helping victims one at a time with love, respect, resources, referrals, and most of all sharing the love of Christ. Her personal interests include martial arts such as Brazilian Jiujitsu, Muay Thai and MMA. She loves running, reading, hiking, kayaking and writing.

Here at the Children's Cottage Daycare and Preschool, We know how hard it is as parents to be able to get the time in to do the things that you need to get done, Unfortunately we don't have a grocery store but we do have some options. And everyone who we have come in are Licensed and or state Certified, Thoroughly screened and live scanned for safety and are true masters of there crafts. I will add a couple but our board is always changing and we are always adding new options until our wonderful people move on to the next part of there Careers.

Personal Training
If you cannot make it to the gym we have a private studio gym and a few very good trainers that are degreed and Certified to help you achieve your goals. We also have a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist for sports performance with a Master's degree in exercise and Nutritional Sciences, His CSCS and 17 other certifications in personal training and strength and conditioning are always on-site to answer any questions someone may have. Brazilian Jiujitsu Classes
We have a BJJ Blackbelt who comes in and teaches classes to kids and adults 3 times a week by season, (he is not always in California.)
